MSU Minds Matter Website

This project is the MSU Minds Matter website. My mission was to help and support mental health on the MSU campus. While student life can offer community and belonging, mental health challenges are often overlooked or not openly discussed. This project addresses that gap by creating an accessible and inclusive website that promotes mental health, encourages open dialogue, reduces stigma, and connects students to reliable resources.

Throughout the project, I led both the mockup phase and the design of the final site, making intentional decisions at every stage—from structure to content strategy. I aimed for a warm, youthful, and eye-catching design language to appeal to students, using a friendly visual atmosphere supported by orange and purple accents. The website includes real-life stories, referrals to MSU counseling services, and simple but effective mental health tools students can use immediately. I also offered peer-support ideas that encourage student-to-student solidarity, such as different support programs. Overall, I prioritized both empathy and clarity in the content, balancing emotional support with practical guidance.

What I enjoyed most about this project was not only building a website, but creating a solution that speaks to a real need on campus. MSU Minds Matter is more than a class project—it represents the first step of an initiative that can make a meaningful impact on student well-being.
